The Warm Sands neighborhood offers overall good value for those who want to live close to a wide variety of shopping, dining, and bar options. The neighborhood is urban, but comprised mostly of single family homes, many built from the late 1920s through the 1950s, including a variety of duplex and triplex options. The heart of the neighborhood is Sunny Dunes Rd, and the nearby Sun Center Shopping Center, but the Village is just blocks away. Biking and walking are easy and convenient, with an access point to the CVLink in the neighborhood. If you’re looking for close by volunteer opportunities, Revivals (Desert AIDS Project) is popular, and certainly for a good cause. The Palm Springs Museum also offers a variety of volunteer opportunities.

For yummy bagels and sough dough, don’t miss Townie’s Bagels, and the nearby Peninsula Pastries for authentic French pastries and baguettes. The Toolshed is the neighborhood gay bar with bingo (and singo!) nights, plus other popular community events. Several other gay bars + restaurants are close by on Arenas Rd, including Blackbook, ChillBar, Streetbar, Hunters, and more. Upscale dining options close by include Bar Cecil, Mr Lyons, and Melvyn’s. There are multiple plant-based options nearby including Palm Greens Cafe and Nature’s Health Food and Cafe.
