Poolside Realty is a Member of 1% For The Planet
We’re excited to announce that we’re a member of 1% For The Planet! As a business member, we’re committed to donating at least 1% of our commissions to support the environment, and 1% For The Planet certifies our giving. Though there are many “environmental partners” to help fund, our goal is to support local and regional non-profits with a focus on land conservation, tree planting (creating shade), and housing. Watch the video to learn a bit about 1% For The Planet, and some of the wonderful things they’re doing!
So far this year, Poolside Realty has donated to the following non-profits:
Friends of the Prescott Preserve (donated outside of 1% For The Planet): Under the umbrella of the Oswit Land Trust, Friends of the Prescott Preserve aims to provide funding (and volunteers) to “rewild” and maintain the preserve.
Mojave Desert Land Trust: These folks do great work in the High Desert, protecting land, plants (seeds), and animals, plus so much more!
North East Trees: Focusing on greening neighborhoods in north east Los Angeles, North East Trees plants shade trees to help reduce the “Urban Heat Island” effect, and otherwise green LA. North East Trees is a 2025 California Non-Profit of the Year. *We’d love to donate to local shade tree planting in Palm Springs!
Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles: Because everyone deserves a safe, decent, affordable place to live.
Friends of the Desert Mountains: It’s easy to take our splendid mountains for granted, but without the help of non-profits like Friends of the Desert Mountains, we could potentially lose access to trails, and habitat for animals and plants would be in jeopardy.
