Palm Springs Leaf Blower Ordinance

Palm Springs’ Leaf Blower Ordinance, which prohibits the use of gas-powered blowers within the city of Palm Springs has been on the books since 2019. Initially, enforcement was placed on the landscape workers. But, in 2024, in hopes of improving enforcement and compliance rates, the city shifted gears and placed accountability on to the property owner. If cited, a property owner could be on the hook to pay a $100 fine for the first offense. The fine escalates for subsequent citations.

The logic behind the ordinance is mitigation of sound and air pollution. Electric blowers operate much more quietly, and emit no fumes, unlike gas-powered blowers. If your gardening company is interested, the city offers rebates up to $750 for the purchase of electric leaf blowers. At Poolside Realty, we always offer our gardening crew the ability to plug in their extra electric blowers at our home office so that they have power for the next job(s) on their route.

Palm Springs ordinance allows for only electric-powered Leaf Blowers
