The Cathedral City Cove (AKA "The Cove") neighborhood is located south of Palm Canyon Drive smack dab in between Palm Springs and Rancho Mirage. The value and the location are pretty damned good! 

The architecture ranges from mid century "retreat" style to early 70's California ranch. 

While the neighborhood is diverse, you’ll find a large gay and lesbian population, many of whom have retired to the desert, or have bought a second home as an escape from the hustle and bustle of LA, San Diego, SF, or Seattle. It's an "anything goes" attitude in The Cove. 

If you can pry yourself away from relaxing poolside, shopping and dining + drinks are all relatively close by, including Trader Joe's, The Sunshine Cafe, The Barracks Bar, Trunks Bar, and Trilusa, plus a host of others.
